Jade Oolong (Tai Cha NO.13)

The Jade Oolong is the same as Jin Xuan Oolong which are found by Tea Research and Extension Station (TRES). Jade Oolong was officially named Tai Cha No.13 in 1982 by the Tea Research and Extension Station (TRES) who is doing the long term in investment in artificial breeding the new tea plant and choice the best one for testing when the tea is still in the testing stage which TRES choices the best area and cooperated with the local tea farmer then planted the new breed of tea in their farm. We called that testing farm. The TRES will put the notice board and showing people they are testing the new plant. Since there are so many different tea trees that they given it the number. The Jade Oolong is number2029 in the testing stage.  

At the time when tea is ready to crop that the farmer produced tea stealthy then found it is testing good. He gives for people to try his new tea. People ask him what kind of the tea but  he could not answer it. So, he went back to his farm and see number 2029 on it then telling people the tea is called 29. When the testing is down the TRES is officially named Tai Cha No.13. Which is mean the TRES is already found the 13 kinds of new tea breed, before give the name Jade Oolong that people usually called this tea 29 locally.  Jade oolong was given in 1981.

Finding new breed tea is a long term work. It takes 21 years finding Jade oolong and Jin Xuan Oolong.  Which the process is from:

The 2 of the renew oolong, Jade oolong and Jin Xuan oolong was found by Dr. Zhen Zhe Wu who was the former president of TRES. It is re-created the tea market in 1980 when the tea in the peak sales. It brings tea to the new period from his found. He is one of the most important people so we called him a Father of the Taiwan tea. He was dread in 1993.
